Are you a student and are you passionate about themes like Health Equity, Planetary Health and/or Global Child Health? Or have you recently graduated and did you conduct an incredible research project that you simply HAVE to share with the world? Then send us your thesis and have a chance to win €1000!

Students and recent graduates usually have a healthy dose of curiosity and optimism. The immense amount of new knowledge they acquire in a short period of time normally leaves these people inspired and full of innovative ideas. This is often reflected in their research projects and thesis reports/articles. In order to highlight these people’s brilliant work and to encourage them to further elaborate, share, and realize their ideas, the Knowledge Center Global Health (KCGH) is awarding a prize to THREE students or recent graduates (Bachelor’s or Master’s) who conducted an innovative and impactful research project on Health Equity, Planetary Health, and Global Child Health. The prize in the category Global Child Health is sponsored by the Global Child Health Expertise Group.

Within each category (Health Equity, Planetary Health, Global Child Health), the best submission will receive a cheque for €1000 to spend on further professional development, e.g., to continue the work presented in the thesis. For example, winners can use the money to follow a training or course, to consult an expert for advice on how to proceed with their proposed activities, or to hire a team to support them in obtaining funding for the project.

All students and recent graduates in the Netherlands (including the special municipalities of Bonaire, Saba, and St. Eustatius), Aruba, Curaçao, and Sint Maarten who study or work in the field of Global Health can submit the application form along with their thesis to ofni.[antispam].@kcgh.nl until the 14th of October. A voluntary team of judges consisting of Global Health experts will consider all proposals based on a few criteria (suitability, impact, and innovation), after which they will award a prize to the best submission in each of the three categories. The prizes will be awarded during the KCGH Symposium on the 24th of November.

Submissie voor de KCGH Global Health Scriptieprijs Nu Open!

Studeer je en houd je je bezig met thema’s als Health Equity, Planetary Health en/of Global Child Health? Of ben je net afgestudeerd en heb je een waanzinnig onderzoek gedaan dat je MOET delen? Stuur ons dan jouw scriptie en maak kans op €1000!

Studenten en recentelijk afgestudeerden hebben vaak een gezonde dosis nieuwsgierigheid en optimisme. De grote hoeveelheid nieuwe kennis die ze tot zich nemen zorgt ervoor dat deze mensen in korte tijd zeer geïnspireerd raken en snel met innovatieve ideeën komen. Dit wordt vaak gereflecteerd in hun onderzoeksprojecten en scripties. Om deze mensen in het zonnetje te zetten en aan te moedigen om hun ideeën verder uit te werken, te delen en uit te voeren, rijkt het Kenniscentrum Global Health (KCGH) dit jaar een prijs uit aan DRIE studenten of recentelijk afgestudeerden (Bachelor of Master) die innoverend en impactvol onderzoek hebben gedaan op gebied van Health Equity, Planetary Health en Global Child Health. De prijs in de categorie Global Child Health wordt gesponsord door De Expertisegroep Global Child Health.

Binnen iedere categorie (Health Equity, Planetary Health en Global Child Health) zal de beste inzending een geldbedrag van €1000 ontvangen om te besteden aan verder professionele ontwikkeling, bijvoorbeeld om het werk dat gepresenteerd is in de scriptie voort te zetten. Winnaars kunnen dit geld bijvoorbeeld gebruiken voor een training of een cursus, een consult met een expert die hen de juiste weg op helpt of het inhuren van een team om hen te helpen fondsen te werven om het project op te zetten.

Alle studenten en recentelijk afgestudeerden die in Nederland (inclusieve de speciale gemeentes Bonaire, Saba, en St. Eustatius), Aruba, Curaçao of Sint Maarten studeren of studeren/studeerden op gebied van Global Health kunnen het aanmeldingsformulier samen met hun scriptie tot en met 14 oktober indienen via ofni.[antispam].@kcgh.nl. Hierna gaat een vrijwillige jury van Global Health experts de inzendingen bekijken en beoordelen op grond van een aantal criteria (passendheid, impact en innovatie), waarna zij de prijs toekennen aan de beste inzending in iedere categorie. De prijzen worden tijdens het KCGH Symposium op 24 november uitgereikt. Meer informatie is te vinden op de website van het KCGH: www.kcgh.nl.
